Waiting for banker till fall?

It seems that NBU will work all summer long with the temporary head. Only in September a new chief banker will be appointed. There are several candidates for such a prestigious position in the governance structure of a multi-million country. No one names specific candidates, but the name of the head of the board of Ukrainian Raiffeisenbank, Vladimir Lavrenchuk, sounds quite often. According to the Minister of Finance, he has all the necessary professional qualities for this. But the final word belongs to the president.

So there is a chance that all three tranches from the IMF, which they expect to receive this year, will be accepted by the new chief banker Lavrenchuk. If the parliament takes a long-awaited package of reforms necessary to obtain these funds by mid-July.
