The Prosecutor General’s Office disclosed the schemes of fraud at Euro-2012

The Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine headed by Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko simultaneously conducted more than 10 searches from the defendants of the resumed trial in accordance with embezzlement of funds in preparation for the Euro-2012.

This precedent caused damage to the state by more than $ 8 million.

“As evidenced by seized documents – they stole on a grand scale,” Lutsenko commented on his Facebook page.

Also, the Prosecutor General cited the example of the situation of overstating the purchase of seats for the NSC Olympic in Kiev, for which the country paid $189, when the real cost was $ 78.

“Step one is the understatement of costs when processing customs payments. For example: an armchair purchased for $ 78 from the manufacturer was issued at a price of $ 6. As a result, the state received the first million losses. Step two – the same chair was driven through a chain of front companies and sold the NSC Olympic for $ 189, “he explained.

According to Lutsenko, similar schemes were found in other purchases in preparation for Euro 2012.
