Great Lent is coming to an end

Good Friday, then the Great Saturday and the Easter, this is the end of the Great Lent in the year for those who believe in Jesus Christ and consider themselves among the flock of most Christian churches.

The Feast of Easter is considered to be the most important in the church calendar. It is called “the holiday of holidays and the celebration of festivities.” The Bible says that the Savior was crucified on Friday, his body was in the grave on Saturday, and on Sunday he was resurrected.

You can believe in it or not. But in any case on Friday and Saturday we have the opportunity to think about the frailty of existence and about the reason of our coming to this world. One of the most fun holidays in the year begins on Sunday. Even those who do not keep fasting and other canons, usually go to church to sanctify the pasques and eggs. It’s really cool and interesting.

Even the Soviet years of general atheism and anti-clerical propaganda could not kill this tradition. People knew when it would be Easter, they baked cakes and painted eggs. And it was great.

Well, let this tradition live forever! Christ is risen! Truly Risen!
