Has the 4th tranche for Ukraine dissapeared from the schedule of IMF?

Next tranche for Ukraine has been planned to be discussed on the 20th of March, 2017.

International Monetary Fund  has published a message for media, in which they had mentioned about postponing of the meeting.

“Short delay is necessary  for evaluation of events that have happened lately, as well as political changes, affecting the financial sector and more broad-based economic perspectives ,” says the co-chairman.

Let us remind, that last year  IMF published a program for Ukraine for next 4 years, with amount of $17 000 000 000 mentioned. It assumed paying tranche for Kiev in 2015, and 4 more in 2016. Nevertheless, currently, Ukraine has received only three of them: the first for $ 5,000,000,000 in March, 2015, the second one was $ 1, 7,000,000,000 in August 2015, and the third tranche in the amount of $ 1,000,000,000 in October 2016.

Funding to Ukraine in the form of the 4th tranche was postponed because of the continuation of the co-development of the people that the state is obliged to implement. In particular, from the number of requirements, which Ukraine has to deal with, are pension reform and launching of the land market.
