When will the land market start working?

To get a loan of a billion dollars from the International Monetary Fund, it is necessary to launch a transparent market of agricultural land. And it should be done as soon as possible, and trade both public and private sectors by early next year. Otherwise, the country may lose the necessary funds from one of its main creditors.

According to the representative of the IMF in Ukraine, the reform will create conditions for the development and growth of the agricultural sector of the economy. But before the parliament must pass a law establishing the order of turnover of agricultural land, and in late 2017 to lift the moratorium on the sale of land.

At the first stage, the area of ​​the site on the market will be limited – no more than two hundred hectares for individuals, can remove large land users – agroholdings from this process.
