Representatives of Britain, France and the US have prepared a resolution condemning the use of chemical weapons in Syria and referring to the need for an objective investigation. After the adoption of the document, Damascus would be obliged to provide all the data on the flights of aviation on April 4, the names of the pilots who participated in the bombing, and to provide access to military bases from which they could strike at the city of Khan-Sheikhun. As a result of the attack, about 100 people (including 27 children) have died.
The document was supported by the majority of members of the UN Security Council, three representatives abstained.
Russia once again rejected the resolution on Syria, it used its veto as a permanent member of the UN Security Council (supported only by Bolivia). In the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the resolution was perceived as “categorically unacceptable”.
