Why doesn’t the Kremlin want to participate in the “Norman Quartet”?

In the Kremlin, for the time being, any promises to meet the leaders of the “Norman Quartet” in accordance with the settlement of the conditions in Ukraine haven’t yet been observed. This was reported by the presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov.

“The situation so far, unfortunately, is not rich in any positive developments. Perhaps, the Ukrainian side’s complete inaction in the direction of the implementation of the Minsk agreements does not even need to be commented on. While the situation in terms of implementing the Minsk agreements is quite deplorable. And the situation itself, in fact, in Ukraine is quite, let’s say, unstable, and it has deteriorated pretty badly, “said D. Peskov, responding to the request of correspondents to determine more precisely whether there is no need to hold such a meeting now.

“At least, we do not know about any prospects that could help to ensure some kind of progress,” the spokesman shared.

Earlier, the authorized representative of Ukraine in the Tripartite Contact Group for the settlement of the situation in the Donbass, Leonid Kuchma, had reported on the need to hold a meeting of leaders in the format of the “Norman Quartet”.
