Inspections without warnings

The Government of Ukraine promulgated the procedure for verifying employers for their implementation of labor legislation. Henceforth, labor inspectors (if they have a business certificate) have the right to inspect enterprises of any form of ownership without warning to identify unregistered employees who receive wages “in envelopes”.

The inspectors are authorized to enter any premises where there are employees, to familiarize themselves with any documents related to the labor legislation, to ask questions to the manager and employees, respectively, to receive answers verbally or in writing.

At the first sign of a criminal offense or a security threat to the inspector, law enforcement agencies will be involved.
