Why is Yanukovych being returned?

Lately, our authorities have been doing their best to “invoke the spirit” of the ex-president of Ukraine. Not a day goes by so that one of the authorities not to remember  Viktor Fedorovich “with softly spoken, kindly word”. It is also about the trial of a runaway president, which has already started once, but the meeting did not last even for half an hour. And also about the so-called “Yanukovych money”, which by different versions is not money, but bonds, which don’t belong to Yanukovych, but belong to Kurochkin (Arbuzov, Klimenko, oligarchs, ets.).

About the court

There has already been one court session. It’s result was … The rescheduling of the meeting. However, Yuriy Lutsenko’s department does not give up. And even the virtual participation in the ex-president was “punched”.

A spokesman for the state prosecution in court, Prosecutor of the Military Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine Ruslan Kravchenko said:

Obolonsky District Court of Kiev provided the former president Viktor Yanukovych with three options for video communication with the court, wherever he was at the time of the trial. The corresponding letter of explanation was sent to the lawyers of the ex-president.

Yanukovych’s participation in the preparatory court session is not expected from international legal assistance, so there is no need for the court to apply to state bodies of the Russian Federation. The court, having such an opportunity, granted prompt execution of the rights of the accused.

By its decision Obolonsky district court of Kiev gave the ex-president the opportunity «not to attach” to either of the Russian courts or to any other bodies.

Yanukovych has repeatedly stated his desire to participate in the trial. To date, he has been given all the opportunities to participate in the court on May 18 via video link, wherever he is. Everything now depends on the side of the defense.

About the money

People’s deputies Sergey Pashinsky and Tatyana Chernovol are engaged in money. Tatyana Chernovol has expressed a desire to share details of this confiscation with journalists on her  Facebook page. Since she had to resort to the help of social networks, it is obvious, that these details and Tatyana Nikolaevna’s personal contribution to the struggle with the past criminal regime don’t really interest community.

Sergei Pashinsky also broke out in social networks by posting:

“The return of funds for which we have been fighting  for a year and a half, offering several versions of the law on special confiscation of the Verkhovna Rada (unfortunately, cynically failed false patriots on salary in Kurchenko, Klimenko, Onischenko, Arbuzov and other fugitives in Russia) is a great victory. So-called “patriots on fees” began to squeal that there is no money, and all this is PR.

To get rid of such speculation, today a response from the State Treasury signed by Tatyana Sluz on the receipt of these funds in the State Budget has been received. So, in her letter she informs about transfer of 1117, 27 million dollars to the foreign exchange account of the State Treasury in Oschadbank on April 28.

In addition, the Ministry of Finance transferred OVDPs worth $ 330,000,000, which will reduce the national debt of Ukraine. Accordingly, the total revenues of the State Budget are no more than $ 1.5 billion.”

It is obvious fact that the People’s Deputies have problems with mathematics. If we add  330 million dollars to 1117, 27 million dollars there is no way to get more than 1,5 billion dollars.

But this is not so important. More important is the question – why are the authorities so actively “appealing to the spirit” of the ex-president of Ukraine? It seems for one reason. Power cannot provide people with bread and therefore it is trying to provide them at least with show. Well, we will see what is going to happen in the nearest future.
