Another victory of Merkel

The most inhabited land in Germany, which includes large cities, pleased the Chancellor with a victory in local elections. In the North Rhine-Westphalia CDU, Angela Merkel received more than a third of the vote, having outrun the main competitors – the Social Democrats. Success was preceded by two regional votes, which also had been won by the chancellery’s party. As a result, five parties of the federal land entered the parliament. The CDU got 72 seats.

Political analysts believe that this is a good sign, since victory has been recieved  in a very important region for the party, not long before the elections to the Bundestag.
