Trains to Russia are not canceled

Earlier in the media there were reports that in summer the trains to Russia would stop plying. However, the government does not intend to stop such a railway communication yet, said the Minister of Infrastructure Vladimir Omelyan. The issue of stopping passenger transportation by buses is not considered. At the same time, according to the minister, any communication with the Russian Federation should be stopped.

For the time being, it is forbidden to transport all cargo and empty wagons, including transit through Ukraine for a number of Russian companies. Meanwhile, the railway is being built to bypass Ukraine. It is expected that the Zhuravka-Millerovo section will be opened on August 15, 2017.
