Turkey is actively “fighting with Europe”

As it has been explained in the Foreign Ministry of Turkey,  the protests were expressed in connection with restrictions on Turkish ministers, as well as poor treatment of members of the Turkish community, who exercised their right to freedom of assembly.

In one of the notes sent to the Netherlands, it has been stressed that Turkey has right to demand compensation. The Turkish Foreign Ministry calls for comprehensive investigation of violations against Turkish ministers and citizens of the country, as well as taking judicial, administrative and criminal measures, and then informing the foreign ministry about the results.

In one of the notes sent to the Netherlands, the official Ankara strongly condemned the actions against the Turkish ministers. It has been emphasized that these actions were far from diplomatic etiquette and generally accepted international norms. “Turkey expects official letters from the Dutch authorities in writing,” the document says.

Let us remind,  that the authorities of the Netherlands banned the landing in Rotterdam aircraft with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu on board on March 11.

Soon the Minister for Family and Social Policy of Turkey Fatma Betul Sayan Kaya, who arrived to the Netherlands from Germany by car to participate in the meeting with the Turkish diasporas, collided with pressure. Police of the Netherlands first detained Fatma security officers Betul Sayan Kaya. The minister tried to get him to leave the car, and after her refusal they threatened to evacuate the car. As a result, Kaya was forced to leave the car, and escorted by police officers after she was expelled to Germany.

At the same time, police officers of the Netherlands dispersed with the use of dogs and mounted clothes thousands of ethnic Turks, who had gathered at the walls of the consulate general in Rotterdam in support of the Turkish minister.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry demanded that the Dutch ambassador in Ankara, who is currently on vacation abroad, not to return back to his work.
