The Ministry of Justice began work on amending the legislation, stabilizing the activities of the NACC

According  to the order of the Prime Minister of Ukraine V.Groisman, which was presented during the yesterday’s meeting of the government, the Ministry of Justice has started the drafting of a bill that guarantees the standardization of the work of the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption and will provide an opportunity to hold contests for the leadership positions of this institution.

Proposals of legislative reforms will be published in the nearest future and will be discussed with civil society.

The Ministry of Justice notes that these changes should provide a comprehensive reset of the NAC and the fastest conduct of the competitive selection of the agency’s management.

Also, the Ministry of Justice stressed that, despite the failures and difficulties with the operation of the register, all declarants are required to file their declarations in accordance with the law.

“We have no right to admit to discrediting the electronic declaration system and, accordingly, the entire anti-corruption policy of the state,” the ministry said.
