Who needs a “dry law”?

Head of Kiev cops Alexander Frantsevich appealed to the mayor’s office – not to sell alcohol (except beer in plastic bottles) in the places of greatest concentration of people during the “Eurovision” in Kiev. A “dry law” can be declared around the “Eurocity” in the city center and the venue of the competition – the Exhibition Center. This order will operate from May 4 to May 15 in Khreshchatyk street and  from May 8 to May 13 on the left bank.

It seems that the police want to reduce the possible manifestation of aggression when a drunken audience uses glass bottles of wine and vodka to clear the air. So-called “dialogue police” will be working among the crowd. This will help to reduce the level of aggression.
