Train to Iran through the Black Sea

A new pilot project will start working this summer. It will open a new route from Ukraine to Iran. It is planned to arrange the delivery of Ukrainian agricultural products to the east through Georgia and Azerbaijan. First, grain will be sent by rail.  The agreement to cooperate during the talks of the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine with the representative delegation of Iran was made.

Ukraine needs to develop new transport routes to ensure reliable transit transport from Europe to Asia, by passing Russia.

From the Ukrainian side, partners were invited to think seriously about the transportation of oil from Iran and the prospects of building an oil refinery in Ukraine.

The first experimental flight from Ukraine to China via Georgia, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan departed in 2016 from the port of Illichivsk. The way there took 15 days. If the flight would be done through Russia, it would take about a month.
