Salt export to Europe has increased

After the Russian Federation imposed an embargo on Ukrainian salt last fall, the state enterprise Artyomsol (Donetsk region) soon entered new markets. The exports to Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Romania, and Austria  have sharply increased. In addition, the demand of the domestic market increased by more than 60 percent. So the company redirected the flow of goods, which had previously gone to the northern neighbor. To everything, after the modernization of the mines the company has set the output of high quality salt in high-quality packaging. And last year was completed with a good profit – 187.6 million hryvnia. And in the first quarter of this year, production has increased  by more than 20%.

In May, Russia abolished the ban on the import of Ukrainian canteen, denatured, sea salt and salt for industrial purposes. Now, “Artemsol”, that previously focused primarily on the Russian Federation, can get even greater profits.
