Two thermoelectric power stations have already stopped in Ukraine

Two thermal power stations – Tripolskaya and Pridneprovskaya have been stopped. Experts argue that these are the consequences of the blockade of the East of Ukraine as a result of which an anthracite deficit has emerged. The Ministry of Fuel and Energy explains their decision by the desire to reduce the consumption of coal-anthracite and to accumulate this energy source till the beginning of the next heating season.

Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Igor Nasalik assured, that the power supply to consumers will not be cut off. Soon, another stop is planned. This time for Zmievskaya TPP.
