On February 23, the disgraced Russian State Duma deputy from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Denis Voronenkov was killed near the hotel of the Premier Palace. His guard was next to him. The killer fired three shots, one of the bullets hit Voronenkov in the stomach, the second in the neck. His guard was also wounded. Obviously, he managed to shoot back, wounding the killer. The murderer was detained. Denis Voronenkov asked for citizenship and asylum in Ukraine, promising to testify against the runaway ex-president Viktor Yanukovych in return.

July 20, 2016 Pavel Sheremet left the house on the way to radio. He was traveling in a car that belonged to his colleague Alena Pritula. Sheremet was still alive when he was removed from the remnants of the car and died on the way to the hospital. The matter has acquired a huge public resonance. But, despite the assurances of the Minister of Internal Affairs Avakov, until the public was not even shown a suspect in the execution of this crime, not to mention the organizers and customers.
Murder of Olesia Buzina

April 16, 2015 Oles Buzin was killed near his entrance four shots from a pistol. Unknown people who shot at him were masked and disappeared from the crime scene by car. After a while this car was found abandoned in one of the neighboring courtyard. On suspicion of this murder, Kievites Denis Polishchuk and Andrei Medvedko were detained. According to Interior Minister Arsen Avakov, the crime was solved. However, the detainees did not admit their guilt, the investigation was suspended, the court was not and is not expected in the near future.
The murder of Georgiy Gongadze

In the evening of September 16, 2000, Georgiy Gongadze left his colleague Alena Prituly on Lesia Ukrainka Avenue and tried to catch a taxi. Under the guise of taxi drivers, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine headed by the then head of the Criminal Intelligence Ministry of the Interior, General Alexei Pukach, approached him. They captured the journalist, took him to the Kiev region and killed him there. After that, the so-called “Melnichenko films” were made public, from which it can be understood that previous president of Ukraine, Leonid Kuchma, could have been involved in the murder. This caused a huge resonance in the society right up to mass protests. All the presidents, starting with Viktor Yushchenko, publicly promised that the case would be solved. However, only the executors and the organizer are convicted. The instigator of this murder is still free.
The murder of Vadim Getman

Circumstances:
In the evening of April 22, 1998, Vadim Getman was killed in the elevator of his house in Pechersk. At the entrance he was waiting for a killer named Sergei Kulev from the so-called “Kushnir gang”, which specialized in contract killings. He released 5 bullets in Vadim Hetman. They shot from the TT pistol with a silencer, so no one from the neighbors heard the shots. After a while another member of the same gang, Valery Pushnyakov, was killed, and he was recognized as the organizer of the murder, although this has not been fully proved. The instigator cannot be identified, although there were rumors that the former Prime Minister of Ukraine Pavel Lazarenko had been involved in this. However, to be honest, he is accused in lots if sins.
